In Marion County the offices of the chair and associate members of the county governing body shall be full time and the chair and associate members shall continue to receive the same salary compensation as provided by present local laws pertaining to Marion County. This section shall not affect the present salary or expense allowances of the Marion County governing body. (Act 84-631, p. 1282, § 1.)
