Section 45-49-181 - Acceptance of Certain Unimproved Roads into County Road Maintenance System; Rulemaking Authority

The County Commission of Mobile County may accept each year a total number of miles of public roads equal to the number of miles of county maintained dirt roads graded, drained, based, and paved under any pay-as-you-go program during the preceding calendar year and shall not accept any other dirt or otherwise substandard road constructed or improved after January 1, 1984. The county commission shall require that the division of a lot, tract, or parcel of land into two or more lots, plats, sites, or other divisions of land for the purpose, whether immediate or future, divided for purposes of sale or of building development shall be done by recorded plat in accordance with Section 35-2-50.
