§ 45-49-30-03

The two additional members may or may not be Choctaw Indians but shall be residents of the county. All members of the commission shall be elected by the Choctaw Indians of Mobile County and shall serve four-year terms of office.(b) All members of the commission shall hold their offices until their successors are nominated and qualified. Any vacancy occurring on the commission shall be filled with temporary appointment by the Mobile County Commission until the vacant seat on the commission is filled. The Mobile County Commission shall appoint a chair of the commission from among the members of the commission, subject to ratification by the full commission. The commission shall elect its own secretary. (Act 79-343, p. 555, § 4.)
