§ 45-49a-63-150

In addition to the powers granted to the board by the plan, the board shall have all powers granted to trustees under any Alabama statute or regulation which are necessary or desirable for it to fulfill its duties with respect to the plan, which powers are specifically incorporated by reference into this plan. The city shall have no liability for the payment of benefits under the plan nor for the administration of the funds paid over to the board.(Act 97-689, p. 1379, § 9(8.01).)
