§ 45-51a-32-116

REPEALED BY ACT 2024-337, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2025.(a) All original and promotional appointments shall be for a probationary period of six months during which the employee may be rejected by the appointing authorities as set out in subsection (a) of Section 45-51A-32.115 herein at any time without right of appeal or hearing in any manner. (b) An employee rejected during the probationary period from a position to which he or she has been promoted shall be reinstated to the position from which he or she was promoted, unless charges are filed and he or she is discharged as provided in this subpart and the rules. (c) Any employee in the competitive service promoted or transferred to a position not included in the competitive service shall be reinstated to the position from which he or she was promoted or transferred if within six months after such promotion or transfer action is taken to dismiss him or her, unless charges are filed and he or she is discharged in the manner provided in this subpart and the rules established hereunder for positions in the competitive service.
