Section 45-54-110 - Expense Allowances for Board Members

(a) Each member of the Board of Registrars of PickensCounty shall be entitled to an expense in the amount of seventy-five dollars($75) per month payable from the county general fund retroactive to October 1,1985. The expense allowance shallremain in effect either until September 30, 1991, or until the provisions of Act 88–659of the 1988 Regular Sessionare implemented, whicheveroccurs first, at which occurrence the county governing body shall by a resolution spread upon its minutes either terminate or continue the expense allowance. The expense allowance shall be paid inlieu of all other expense allowances heretofore provided by law for registrars. (b) Effective October 1, 2005, each member of the PickensCounty Board of Registrars shall be entitled to receive an additional expense allowance in the amount oftwenty dollars ($20) per day for each day when the board is authorized to meetand conduct business.
