(a) Effective beginning on June 1, 2023, the RevenueCommissioner of Pickens County shall receive an additional expense allowance inan amount equal to eight thousand dollars ($8,000) per year payable in equalmonthly installments. This expenseallowance shall be in additionto any other salary, expenseallowance, or compensation the revenue commissioner is receiving. The expenseallowance provided by this subsection shall be treated as salary for retirementpurposes.(b) Effective beginning the next term of office after May 4, 2023, the annual salary of the revenue commissionershall be increased by eight thousand dollars ($8,000) per year and at that timesubsection (a) shall be void.(c) Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 11–2A–4, or any other law tothe contrary, effective beginning October 1, 2024, and thereafter, pursuant tothis section, the revenue commissioner shall be entitled to the same uniformincreases in compensation, such as cost-of-living increases, received by otherelected county officers.
