Section 45-54-40 - Branch Banking

After July 18, 1983, any established bank which is authorized by its charter or by law to do a general bankingbusiness in Pickens County, with the written consent of the State BankingDepartment, may open, establish, and operate branch banks, branch offices, orplaces for doing a banking business anywhere within the county, any otherprovision of law to the contrary notwithstanding.After May 30, 1984, any established bank which is authorized by its charter or by law to do a general bankingbusiness in Pickens County, with the written consent of the State BankingDepartment, may open, establish, and operate branch banks, branch offices, orplaces for doing a banking business anywhere within the county, any otherprovision of law to the contrary notwithstanding.(Act 83–550, p. 850, § 1; Act 84–533, p. 1154, § 1.)
