The expense allowance shall be paid fromthe county treasury in equal monthly installments and shall be in addition toany other expense allowance, salary, or other compensation provided by law. Any expense allowance grantedunder this sectionshall expire at the end of the term of thecoroner, but may be included in the salary of the coroner for the next term ofoffice set pursuant to subsection (b).(b) The county commission, by resolution adopted 90 days prior to thequalifying date for the primary election for the election of the coroner, may set the annual salary effective for thenext term of office for the coroner serving Pickens County.The salary shall be paid from the county treasuryin equal monthly installments and shall be in lieu of any and allsalary, compensation, or expense allowances in effect at the end of the termduring which a salary is set pursuant to this section.(Act 2007–221, p. 277, §§ 2, 3.)
