Section 45-54-80 - Expense Allowance for Jurors

(a) Each person summoned for duty on any grand or petit jury in PickensCounty shall be paid a total expenseallowance of twenty dollars ($20) per day for each day’s service, plus mileageas provided by general law. Theexpense allowance and mileageaccrued prior to January 17, 1977, is payable out of the county treasury.(b) This section shall have retroactive effect, and all actions taken andpayments made pursuant thereto on and before June 14, 1979, are ratified andconfirmed.(Act 79–201, p. 310, §§ 1, 2.)
