§ 45-54-82-01

(a) On and after the date this section becomes applicable to PickensCounty, a special recording fee of three dollars ($3) shall be paid to andcollected by its judge of probate, with respect to each real property instrument and each personal propertyinstrument that may be filed for record in the office of the judge of probateand for the recording of other instruments and documents in the probate officeof the county, and, on and after that date, no instrument shall be received forrecord in the office of the judge of probate unless the special recording feeof three dollars ($3) is paid thereon. Thespecial recording fee shall be in addition to all other fees, taxes, and othercharges required by law to be paid upon the filing for record of any realproperty instrument or personal propertyinstrument, and for the recording of other instruments and documents in the probate office of thecounty. All special recording fees socollected shall be deposited into the judge of probate account of the probateoffice to be expended by the judge of probate at his or her discretion for theimprovement of the equipment and operations of the probate office,
