Section 45-55-110 - Compensation

(a) In Pike County,each member of the boardof registrars shallbe entitled to receiveadditional compensation in the amountof ten dollars ($10) per day,payable out of the generalfund of the county treasury.Such amount shall bein addition to any and all other amounts providedfor by law and shall be paid onlyfor those days the board is authorized to meet and conduct business.(b)(1) The Pike County Commission may grant each member of the PikeCounty Board of Registrars an additional expense allowance in an amount not toexceed twenty dollars ($20) per day for each day when the board is authorizedto meet and conduct business. Thisexpense allowance shall be in addition to any and all other compensation,salary, and expense allowances provided by law and shall be paid out of the county generalfund.(2) Effective with the expiration of the term of anymember of the Pike County Board of Registrars, the Pike CountyCommission may increasethe salary of the members of the board of registrars not to exceedtwenty dollars ($20) per day for each day the board is authorized to meet andconduct business payable from the county general fund.
