The county revenue commissioner shall collect and payinto the general fund of the county all fees, percentages, commissions, andother allowances which the tax assessor and the tax collector are now orhereafter by law authorized or directed to charge or collect for theperformance of a duty imposed by law on the officers and transferred to andimposed on the county revenue commissioner. Ascompensation for performance of the duties of his or her office, the countyrevenue commissioner shall receive a minimum salary as provided by Section40–6A–2, payable in the manner prescribed by the county commissioner, out ofthe county general fund with the exact amount to be set by resolution of thecounty commission prior to the county revenue commissioner taking office.(Act 93–381, p. 655, § 6.)
