If the office of tax assessor or tax collector shouldbecome vacant between the expiration of the term of office of either the taxassessor or tax collector and before the time of ratification of this part bythe electors of Pike County, this part shall become effective immediately andthe election shall be called within 45 days of the vacancy.(Act 93–381, p. 655, § 10.)
