All taxes collected under this subpart shall be remitted to Pike County and deposited in a segregated account within the Pike County General Fund to be used for costs, expenses, and, pursuant to Section 45-55-243.37, distributions. The County Commission of Pike County may thereafter transfer the proceeds into one or more special funds or accounts designated by resolution of the county commission, provided that the proceeds are used for costs, expenses, and, pursuant to Section 45-55-243.37, distributions. The county commission may assign and pledge the proceeds of the tax authorized by this subpart for the payment of principal of and interest on indebtedness. Any pledge shall be irrevocable so long as the indebtedness for which the pledge is made remains outstanding. (Act 2017-332, p. 586, §8; Act 2022-38, §1; Act 2024-435, §1, eff. Oct. 1, 2024.)
