The salaryprovided by this section shallbe payable in equal monthlyinstallments out of the general fund of the county.(b) In addition to any salary provided to the coroner, thePike County Commission may set an expense allowance for the coroner so that thetotal expense allowance of the coroner does not exceed eighteen thousanddollars ($18,000) per year. Anyexpense allowance paid to the coroner shall be paid in equal monthlyinstallments out of the general fund of the county.(Act 2010–274, p. 497, § 1.)
