The present incumbent county commissioners, who were elected at thegeneral election in 1984 pursuant to an order of the United States DistrictCourt for the Middle District of Alabama, shall remain in office until theirsuccessors are elected in the general election in 1988, which election shall beheld under the district plan established in this part.(Act 86–323, p. 488, § 3.)
