The county commission shall furnish suitablequarters or additional space if any be necessary for the efficientperformance of the additional duties of the judge ofprobate, and shall provide for the transfer of all necessary forms, books, records,stationery, supplies, and equipment from the officesof revenue commissioner or taxassessor and tax collector to the office of judge of probate as shall bepertinent to the transference of the duties and shall thereafter provide thestationery, forms, and supplies as are furnished pursuant to law by the stateDepartment of Finance or the Comptroller and the state Department of Revenue. The county commission shall provideclerks, deputies, and other assistants for the judge of probate as arenecessary for the proper and efficient performance of the duties of the office. The judge of probate may also requestclerks, deputies, and other assistants but the number and compensation of thedeputies and other assistants shall be subject to the approval of the countycommission. The compensation shall bepaid out of the county general fundin the same manner as other county employees are paid.(Act 95–669, her assistants shall be subject to the approval of the countycommission.
