The Randolph CountyCommission may determine the qualifications for thecounty engineer, provided that the qualifications meet the minimum requirements under state law regarding qualifications of engineers. It is further provided that the countyengineer does not have to be qualified as a land surveyor in order for theDepartment of Transportation to participate in the payment of a portion of thecounty engineer’s salary.(Act 80–296, p. 410, § 1.)
