Section 45-56-231 - Record of Abandoned and Stolen Property; Storage

(a) The Sheriff of Randolph County shall keep and maintain a permanentrecord of all abandoned and stolen personal property recovered by the sheriff’s office. These records shall state the description of the property, thedate of recovery of the property, and the serial or other identifying number ofthe property. The records shall beopen to public inspection at all reasonable times.(b) All abandoned or stolen property recovered by the sheriff’s officeshall be stored in a suitableplace to protectthe property from deterioration.(Act 2014–2, p. 16, § 1.)
