Section 45-56-81 - Juvenile Court Services Fund

(a) In addition to all other costs and charges in circuitand district court cases in Randolph County, an additional court charge ofthree dollars ($3) shall be chargedand collected by the clerkof the court. This chargeshall not be collected onsmall claims cases. When collected bythe clerk of the court, the additional court charge shall be remitted monthlyto the Juvenile Court Services Fund.(b) In addition to all othercosts and chargesof court in Randolph County,a monthly supervision fee may be assessed in juvenile casesby the judges of the juvenile court. The supervision fee shall be collected bythe juvenile court office and deposited in the Juvenile Court Services Fund.(c)(1) TheJuvenile Court Services Fund is created for the deposit of the court cost fees specifiedin this section. The fund shall be maintained in aninterest bearing account under the supervision of the Juvenile Court Judge ofRandolph County.(2) Any funds appropriated from the Juvenile Court Services Fund shallbe expended solely for juvenile programs, for subsistence for the juvenilecourt services staff in the county, to aid the functions of the juvenile court,and for the
