(a) In Randolph County, in addition to all other fees orcosts levied, there shall be taxed as costs the sum of fifteen dollars ($15) inthe service of any papers or documents by the sheriff or any deputy sheriffarising out of any civil or quasi-civil proceeding at law or in equity, whetherthe proceeding is inany inferior court, municipal court,district court, or circuit courtand whether the proceeding isfiled in or arising in any of the courts, or on appeal, certiorari, orotherwise to the district court or the circuit court. The costs shall be collected in the same manner as other costsin those cases in the respective courts.(b) In Randolph County, in addition to all other fees or costs levied,there shall be taxed as costs the sum of seventy-five dollars ($75) in theservice of any papers or documents by the sheriff or any deputy sheriff arisingout of any civil or criminal action instituted outside the State of Alabama,whether at law or equity. The costsshall be collected in the same manner as other court costs in actionsinstituted or arisingoutside the State of Alabama.(c) All funds generated by e State of Alabama,whether at law or equity. The costsshall be collected in the same manner as other court costs in actionsinstituted or arisingoutside the State of Alabama.(c) All funds generated by this section shall be paid into the General Fundof Randolph County, designated for the Sheriff’s Department Fund.(Act 2014–5, p. 20, § 1.)
