§ 45-56-83-62

(a) The judge of probate may provide for the installationand thereafter for the maintenance of an improvedrecording, archiving, and retrieval systemin the probate offices of Randolph County. The initial installation of the improved recording, archival, and retrieval system shall includethe following:(1) Theacquisition of the equipment provided for in the definition set forth in thissubpart of an improved recording, archiving, and retrieving system.(2) Proceduresfor the continued recording, archiving, and retrieving of all instruments andrecords that will, after the effective installation date, constitute a part ofthe improved recording, archiving, and retrieving system.(3) The initialinstallation of the improved recording, archiving, and retrieving system shallbe performed by a person or persons, firm, or corporation engaged in therecords management business and experienced in setting up county records.(b) The initial installation shall be supervised andinspected by a person who is experienced in handling recordspertaining to abstracts or titles.(c) Following its installation in the county,

Eachreal property instrument and each personal property instrument shall beoperative as a record from the time of its delivery to the judge of probate ofthe county, in accordance with existing law, including, without limitation,Section 12–13–43.(Act 98–592, p. 1299, § 3.)
