03Volunteer Fire Departments; Fire Protection and Emergency Medical Services.The purposes and uses of the funds generated by this article are to enableall participating eligiblevolunteer fire departments in Russell Countyto lower their ISOratings and to provide fire protection services and emergency medical servicesto the residents of the county. Alleligible volunteer fire departments shall attain and maintain an ISO rating of8/10 or below within two years after the effective date of this article. If a department fails to maintain the minimum ISO rating, then the RussellCounty Commission may consider consolidating that departmentinto the remaining eligible departments and distribute its funds based on theeligible residences and commercial buildings to the acquiring departments.
