§ 45-57-170-22

22Assessing Public Nuisances.(a) The county commission shall appoint a county employeeor employees who shall be responsible for assessing the existence of a publicnuisance pursuant to this subpart. (b) Upon a determination by the county employee of theinstance of a public nuisancepursuant to this subpart, the county employeeshall notify the owner of the real property on whichthe manufactured dwelling or any other dwelling is located of the existence ofthe public nuisance, and shall give the realproperty owner not less than 60 days to abatethe nuisance in the manner agreed upon by the county employeeand the real property owner. (c) The notice to the real property owner shall consist ofa letter mailed to the person last assessed for property taxes due on theproperty according to the records of the county revenue commissioner. (d) If the manufactured dwellingdeemed a publicnuisance does not belongto the owner of the real property, the county employee shall notify the realproperty owner of the provisions of Chapter 12A of Title 35 relating toabandoned manufactured dwellings.
