01Cost-of-Living Increases for Motor Vehicle License Commissioner.(a) The Russell County Commission may provide for cost-of-living increases for the motor vehicle licensecommissioner in addition to any salary or compensation being paid to the motorvehicle license commissioner. (b) This section shall be read in pari materia with Section 40–6A–2. All cost-of-living increases provided pursuantto this sectionshall be proratedand paid from the same funds and in the same manner as provided underthat section.(c) Any cost-of-living increases or similar payments made to the motorvehicle license commissioner by the Russell County Commission prior to May 20, 2001 are validated, ratified, and confirmedretroactive to October 1, 2000.(Act 2001–647, p. 1342, §§ 1–3.)
