06Proposed Assessment Objections or Defense Against Property.The owner, or owners, or any person who has an interestin real estate against which it is proposed to assess the cost, or any partthereof, of the construction or improvement, or his or her agent or attorney,may appear at any time on or before the date named in the notice or at themeeting and file in writing with the clerk of the county commission, or withthat office, any objections or defense to the proposed assessment against theproperty or for the amount thereof. Personswho do not file objections or protests in writing against the assessment shallbe held to have consented. (Act 2007–336, p. 597, § 7.)
