07City Clerk Duties.The city clerk shall be the secretary of the board. It shall be his or her duty to keep a full and complete record ofall proceedings of the board; he orshe shall perform such other duties as may be assigned to him or her. The city clerk shall also be treasurer ofthe fund and the custodian of all money and securities belonging to the fund. He or she shall be liable on his or herofficial bond as city clerk for the faithful performance of the duties imposedupon him or her by this part and for an accounting of all money, securities,and things of value which may come into his or her hands as treasurer of thefund. He or she shall keep accountswhich show the true condition of the fund at all times. Upon the expiration of the city clerk’s term of office, orwhenever he or she ceases to hold office, he or she shall surrenderand deliver up to his or hersuccessor all bonds, securities, money, and everything else of value that he orshe holds as treasurer or custodian of the fund. The city clerk shall not receive any additional compensation forservices rendered under this part.
