(a) Beginning with the next term of office, in lieu of any other compensation or expense allowances now provided by law, certain officials of Calhoun County shall be entitled to annual salaries as follows:Commissioner of Licenses$35,000Coroner$12,200Deputy Coroner$2,400County Commission Chairman$40,000County Commission Members$16,500Judge of Probate$35,000Sheriff$37,500Such salaries shall be paid in equal monthly installments from the county general fund.(b) In addition to the annual salary provided for the judge of probate in subsection (a), such official shall be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred in carrying out the duties of his or her office in the preparation of voter lists.(Act 85-629, p. 959, §§1, 2.)
