Section 8-15-16 - When Receipt to Be Endorsed “Stored in the Open”

Whenever any public warehouseman accepts for storage any cotton or other article of value and keeps or stores the same where it is exposed to weather conditions or in any place except within the warehouse, there shall be endorsed on the warehouse receipt given for such cotton or other article the words 'Stored In The Open' in such manner as may be prescribed by the rules and regulations promulgated by the State Board of Agriculture and Industries.(Ag.
