Section 9-17-121 - Installation of Heaters - Residences

The following LP-gas room heaters may be installed in a residence that is a one- or two-family dwelling and that is not a manufactured home (mobile home) or a modular home as provided in this section:(1) One listed wall-mounted LP-gas unvented room heater equipped with an oxygen depletion safety shut-off system may be installed in the bathroom of a residential one- or two-family dwelling provided that the input rating shall not exceed 6000 BTU per hour and combustion and ventilation air is provided in accordance with the National Fuel Gas Code, NFPA 54, as adopted by the board.(2) One listed wall-mounted LP-gas unvented room heater equipped with an oxygen depletion safety shut-off system may be installed in the bedroom of a residential one- or two-family dwelling provided that the input rating shall not exceed 10,000 BTU per hour and combustion and ventilation air is provided as specified in the National Fuel Gas Code, NFPA 54, as adopted by the board.
