In AS 14.30.760 - 14.30.780, (1) 'district' has the meaning given in AS 14.17.990; (2) 'evidence-based reading intervention' means an intervention based on reliable, trustworthy, and valid evidence that has a demonstrated record of success in adequately increasing a student's reading competency in the areas of phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary development, reading fluency, oral language skills, and reading comprehension.
