(a) A person commits the crime of voter misconduct in the second degree if the person (1) registers to vote without being entitled to register under AS 15.07.030; (2) knowingly makes a material false statement while applying for voter registration or reregistration; or (3) votes or attempts to vote in an election after being disqualified under AS 15.05.030. (b) Voter misconduct in the second degree is a class A misdemeanor.
