§ 18-20-130

In AS 18.20.075 - 18.20.130, (1) 'department' means the Department of Health; (2) 'hospital' means an institution or establishment, public or private, devoted primarily to providing diagnosis, treatment, or care over a continuous period of 24 hours each day for two or more nonrelated individuals suffering from illness, physical or mental disease, injury or deformity, or any other condition for which medical or surgical services would be appropriate.
