§ 18-55-500

(a) A member of the board of directors or employee of the corporation may not voluntarily acquire an interest, direct or indirect, in a redevelopment project or in property included or planned by the corporation to be included in a redevelopment project, or in a contract or proposed contract in connection with a project. If the acquisition is not voluntary the member or employee shall immediately disclose the interest in writing to the corporation and the disclosure shall be entered upon the minutes of the corporation. (b) If a member of the board of directors or employee of the corporation owns or controls or owned or controlled within the preceding two years an interest, direct or indirect, in property that the member or employee knows is included or planned by the corporation to be included in a redevelopment project, the member or employee shall immediately disclose the interest in writing to the corporation and the disclosure shall be entered upon the minutes of the corporation, and the member or employee may not participate in an action by the corporation affecting the property.
