(a) A municipality may, by ordinance, provide for a curfew for persons under 18 years of age for whom the disabilities of minority have not been removed for general purposes under AS 09.55.590 and who have not arrived at the age of majority under AS 25.20.020. (b) Notwithstanding AS 29.25.070(a), for a violation of this section, the court may impose a fine of not more than $250. (c) The community work provisions of AS 47.12.030(b)(6) apply to punishment for a minor's conviction of a violation of a curfew ordinance for which a penalty is provided under AS 29.25.070(a).
