(a) A lien under AS 34.35.230 - 34.35.315 does not bind property for more than six months after notice of the lien is recorded, unless suit is brought to enforce the lien in the proper court within that time or if credit is given, within six months after the expiration of the credit. (b) A lien may not be continued in force for more than one year from the stopping of the work or by an agreement to give credit.
