(a) A lien under AS 34.35.320 - 34.35.390 does not bind the property for more than six months after the lien is recorded, unless suit is brought before the proper court within that time to enforce the lien or if credit is given, within six months after the expiration of the credit. (b) A lien does not continue in force for more than one year from the cessation of the work or the furnishing of the material, by an agreement to give credit.
