(a) A pawnbroker shall provide a law enforcement officer with a law enforcement report in paper or in an electronic format on a weekly basis. (b) A law enforcement report is confidential under AS 40.25.100 - 40.25.220, and a law enforcement officer and a law enforcement agency may only use a law enforcement report to investigate a crime involving the property that is the subject of the pawnbroker transactions of the pawnbroker.
