12-132. Regional mental health courts; establishment; authority to adjudicate A. In counties that have a population of less than two hundred fifty thousand persons the presiding judges of the superior court may agree to establish a regional mental health court. A superior court judge of a court that participates in a regional mental health court may refer a case to the regional mental health court. A judicial officer in a county that participates in a regional mental health court has the authority to adjudicate a case referred to a regional mental health court. B. The originating court shall notify the prosecutor of any criminal case referred to the mental health court.
