12-3152. Superior court; vacancies; fingerprinting; applicability A. Except as provided in subsection B of this section, a person who applies to the governor to fill a vacancy on the superior court, before appointment, shall submit a full set of fingerprints to the governor for the purpose of obtaining a state and federal criminal records check pursuant to section 41-1750 and Public Law 92-544. The department of public safety may exchange this fingerprint data with the federal bureau of investigation. B. This section does not apply to a superior court applicant who has already submitted a full set of fingerprints to the supreme court, the commission on appellate court appointments or the commission on trial court appointments.
