20-400. Scope of provisions A. This article applies to all insurers having a certificate of authority issued by the director to transact insurance in this state except: 1. Reinsurance. 2. Annuities. 3. Title insurance. 4. Mortgage guaranty insurance. 5. Disability or life insurance. 6. Risks subject to section 20-395. 7. Risks commonly insured under marine and inland marine insurance policies. 8. Personal lines automobile, dwelling and homeowner insurance policies. 9. Any policy of insurance against loss or damage to or legal liability in connection with property located outside this state, any motor vehicle or aircraft principally garaged and used outside this state or any activity wholly carried on outside this state. B. This article does not apply to hospital service or medical service corporations, investment companies, mutual benefit associations or fraternal beneficiary associations.
