28-1525. Assessment; failure to pay fine In addition to any fine, fee, penalty or assessment authorized by law, a person who is convicted in the superior court or a justice court for a violation of this title shall pay an assessment of one hundred twenty-five dollars if a warrant for failure to pay a fine, fee, penalty or assessment imposed as a result of the conviction is issued for the arrest of the defendant. The court shall transmit the assessed monies to the county treasurer for deposit in the county general fund. The assessment is not subject to any surcharge.
