28-2131. Liens and encumbrances; validity The following, other than a lien dependent on possession, are not valid against the creditors of an owner acquiring a lien by levy or attachment or against subsequent purchasers or encumbrancers without notice until the requirements of this article are met: 1. Any security agreement, conditional sale contract, conditional lease, chattel mortgage or other lien or encumbrance. 2. A certificate of title retention instrument or any other instrument affecting or evidencing title to, ownership of or reservation of title to a vehicle required to be issued a certificate of title and registered under section 28-2153 or a mobile home required to be issued a certificate of title under section 28-2063. 3. A contract for conveyance of real property, deed of trust or mortgage securing a lien on a mobile home and on real property.
