28-2294. Nonresident daily commuter; identification card; fee (L18, Ch. 260, sec. 13) A. On application and completion of the form prescribed by section 28-2293, the department shall provide a nonresident daily commuter with an identification card that is valid for two years. B. A motor vehicle is exempt from registration by this state if the following conditions are met: 1. The motor vehicle is operated pursuant to subsection A of this section and otherwise in accordance with this article. 2. The motor vehicle is a passenger vehicle or an unladen truck. 3. The motor vehicle is licensed in a contiguous state and is used to commute into this state to a destination within a corridor in this state that parallels the border between this state and the contiguous state and that extends not more than thirty-five air miles into this state from the border at any point. C. The privilege accorded by subsection A of this section is revoked if the motor vehicle is operated for commuter purposes beyond the thirty-five mile corridor. D.
