31-250. Definition of work crew In this article, unless the context otherwise requires, ' work crew' means a group of prison inmates who possess the skills and training to work at prison sites and to participate, under the security supervision of correctional service officers, in any phase of prison construction, maintenance, renovation or conversion. In addition to the security supervision provided by correctional service officers, personnel from either the state department of corrections or the department of administration may provide project supervision of work crews on job assignments.
