32-1291. Dental assistants; regulation; duties A. A dental assistant may expose radiographs for dental diagnostic purposes under either the general supervision of a dentist or the direct supervision of an affiliated practice dental hygienist licensed pursuant to this chapter if the assistant has passed an examination approved by the board. B. A dental assistant may polish the natural and restored surfaces of the teeth under either the general supervision of a dentist or the direct supervision of an affiliated practice dental hygienist licensed pursuant to this chapter if the assistant has passed an examination approved by the board.
