The person enforcing a lien granted under the provisions of this article may have the lot or land and improvements sold together, or he may have the improvements alone sold when it can be done without material injury to the property beyond the value of the improvements. B. When the improvements are sold separately, the purchaser shall be placed in possession by the officer conducting the sale and the purchaser shall have the right to remove the improvements within a reasonable time from the date of purchase.
