36-1419. Payments in lieu of taxes authorized A. When a housing project is owned and administered by a housing authority under this article, the housing authority and the city, town or county in which the project is located may agree upon payments to be made in lieu of taxes. B. Taxing authorities are authorized and directed to accept such payments and funds so collected in the same manner as other taxes are collected.
