36-2210. Local emergency medical services coordinating systems The department shall contract with a local emergency medical services coordinating system that: 1. Conducts needs assessments and plans and coordinates a regional emergency medical and trauma services system within a designated planning area. 2. Has a governing board. 3. Demonstrates continued support annually by action of the governing bodies of the counties, cities, towns and fire districts within the planning area representing a majority of the total population of the area. For the purposes of this paragraph, the county represents the unincorporated areas of the county, except fire districts. 4. Offers emergency medical programs for the effective and coordinated delivery of emergency medical services if authorized by its governing board.
